Meditative Thoughts

Many of us are all too familiar with the frustrating cycle of losing weight only to regain it within a few weeks. There are those of us too who might succeed at losing weight but at what cost- starvation or deprivation? That is not a way to live. Society has taught us to fixate on our weight in toxic, unhealthy and unrealistic ways. Instead of focusing on our obsessive preoccupation with having the perfect body, we should be striving for perfect health- total mind, body and spirit connection. When all 3 are in balance our true form is able to appear revealing our best body ever, and the results remain permanent as long as we remain in fit condition both physically and spiritually. When we combine a healthy lifestyle with spiritual practice our true, beautiful, perfect self will finally emerge.

There are several ways to stay spiritually fit that have nothing to do with religion or going to church. Spirituality is the quest for a power greater than your own. It is a personal journey different for everyone. There are hundreds of spiritual books, courses and programs that will assist in finding that higher power. If we rely only on ourselves, and our own thinking, we will not succeed. If our thinking does not change we will lose weight only to gain it back. We may temporarily lose weight from our body but if we do not eliminate the weight of negative thoughts from our mind and spirit, the physical weight will no doubt return. This self- defeating process will continue until we learn to drop the stories we tell ourselves that produced the weight and unhealthy habits in the first place. We do this by cultivating a spiritual practice through meditation. These meditative thoughts are intended to open your mind and provide a centering thought for you to focus on while meditating. Your body is a reflection of your mind and the thoughts you think. Change your mind and change your body with Change It Up.
