Meditation Episodes

Meditation is crucial to living and being in perfect health. Our problems cannot be solved at the same level of thinking where we created them. If our thinking doesn’t change, we will lose weight only to gain it back. We will avoid toxic behaviors only to replace them with new toxic behaviors. This is one reason meditation is so important. When we meditate our brains shift, emitting alpha waves and delta waves that help access our inner wisdom as well as reduce cortisol (known to cause stress and weight gain). Meditation is a technique where words, music or even silence instruct the mind to move into deeper realms and regions. These regions hold the key to eliminating toxic behaviors and increasing insight, awareness, understanding, forgiveness, peace and love. The linear mind cannot bring these things about on it’s own. The same way we feed our body with food, we need to feed our spirit with meditation and prayer. Prayer connects the mind to Spirit, allowing the voice of Spirit to be heard over the voice of the ego. Prayer is how we plug in, align our thinking with love and expand our consciousness. When we pray and meditate we cultivate our mind to align with right thinking. Problems and situations that previously baffled us become easy to manage and understand. Spiritual practice allows us to pay attention to what we need to hear in order to grow and create balance in our lives. Meditation, prayer and other spiritual practices also allow us to see and experience that every living being is connected. We are all part of something much bigger that connects us, a power greater than ourselves that is our Source. When we maintain awareness and connection to that source through prayer and meditation our lives become manifestations of love where perfect health, well-being and happiness are attainable and sustainable.
